On October 14, applications will open in the capital for the photo contest “Moscow. Architecture of Time.” Participants will be able to capture the architectural diversity of the city in their photographs, as well as showcase changes in infrastructure and the formation of the metropolis’s new appearance. Everyone is invited to share photos of new facilities, public spaces, and architectural solutions. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
“Moscow is constantly developing: new residential and public facilities, transport and social infrastructure are appearing here, and the architectural appearance of the capital is changing. The objects we offer for participants to photograph have already become part of the urban environment and have created new visual landmarks. Photography allows you to see these changes from different angles and preserve them in the city’s history. Our photo contest will be an opportunity for participants to share their view of the transformations of the capital, to showcase new facilities and architectural solutions. Such initiatives help maintain residents’ interest in the city’s development and involve them in its changes,” said Vladimir Efimov.
Participants are invited to submit photographs of 19 new landmark objects that have appeared in the capital in recent years. Among them are, for example, the Central Moscow Hippodrome, Gagarin Bridge, the Torpedo Stadium named after Eduard Streltsov, the campus of Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and other social and transport infrastructure facilities. The full list of objects, competition regulations, and participation conditions are available on the website competition.
The jury includes architects, art historians, and other experts in the fields of architecture and photography. Among them:
— Artem Dedkov, Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Urban Development Policy;
— Maria Derunova, First Deputy Head of the Coordination Department for the Activities of the Urban Planning Policy and Construction Complex of the city of Moscow;
— Ilya Mukosey, architect, creative director of the “ARCH Moscow” exhibition;
