At the construction site of the residential complex “Parade Ensemble”
Industry partners of SPbGASU Setl Group and Etalon Group organized practical training sessions for students of the Faculty of Construction at the construction sites of the residential complexes “Paradny Ensemble” and “LDM.” Future specialists got acquainted with the organization of construction works, modern technologies, and features of erecting residential buildings at different stages.
Second-year students of the “Industrial and Civil Construction” program visited the site of the residential complex “Parade Ensemble” (Setl Group). Before the tour began, they underwent a safety briefing and received the necessary personal protective equipment.
The main highlight of the tour was the eighth phase of construction. Students inspected the framework of future apartments, learned about the work organization, and saw the robotic pile-driving complex. Company representatives spoke about the use of automated technologies and their role in increasing the accuracy and speed of construction processes. In addition, the future builders were able to try applying plaster to the walls and laying tiles, gaining their first practical experience directly at the active site.
Students of the Faculty of Construction also visited the construction site of the residential complex “LDM” (Etalon Group). The first student visit to this site took place a year ago, and this time the participants of the field lesson were able to follow the development of the project: last time they observed the initial stages of construction, and now they saw the completed building frame and ongoing interior work.
On site, the visitors studied the structural features of the building, became acquainted with interior finishing technologies, the arrangement of engineering networks, and the logistics organization. During the discussion with representatives of the developer, the students talked about the stages of construction organization, project timelines, materials used, and modern approaches to the construction of business-class buildings.
Both excursions were conducted under the guidance of the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Construction for Educational Work, a senior lecturer at the Department of Construction Organization Anna Tsarenko.
SPbGASU thanks its partners – Setl Group and Etalon Group – for organizing excursions and providing the opportunity to introduce students to the practical side of their future profession.
