In the South-Western Administrative Okrug of the capital, since the beginning of implementation renovation programs 55 modern residential complexes located in nine districts were handed over for occupancy. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.

“In 2018, the first new buildings on Izyumskaya Street were handed over for occupancy as part of the renovation program in the southwest of the capital. Today, the number of such residential complexes has reached 55: more than 13,800 apartments with a total area of nearly 790,000 square meters have been arranged there. About 8,600 families have already moved into the new buildings. In total, within the framework of the current renovation program in the South-Western Administrative District, 512 old houses are to be resettled. Approximately 116,000 Muscovites will receive new modern apartments,” said Vladimir Efimov.

Residential complexes fully comply with modern quality and safety standards. 55 new buildings are located in nine districts of the borough. The largest number handed over for occupancy is in Zyuzino — 14 buildings, and in Cheryomushki — nine. Apartments have upgraded finishes, so new residents won’t have to spend time and money on repairs — they can move in immediately. Common areas are also fully equipped: modern elevators are installed in the entrances, rooms for strollers and bicycles are provided, as well as premises for concierges.

To make the resettlement process as comfortable as possible, the capital provides program participants with transportation and loader services under the program “Moving Assistance”. You can apply for a free transportation of belongings online on the mos.ru portal or in person at resettlement information centers.

The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It concerns about one million Muscovites and involves the relocation of 5,176 buildings. Previously, Sergey Sobyanin ordered to increase the pace of the renovation program’s implementation in twice. He also talked about the residential complex under the renovation program on Kavkazsky Boulevard.

Moscow is one of the leaders among regions in terms of construction volumes. The high pace of housing development aligns with the goals and initiatives of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”.
