As part of the “Innopolis Digital Days” forum, a meeting of the supervisory board of Innopolis University was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

The event was attended by the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadaev, Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov, and others.

At the meeting, the main results of the university’s work, the development of scientific activity, and infrastructure were discussed.

Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized that both the Government and the business sector pay attention to Innopolis. The university’s partners include more than 300 industrial companies – in recent years, joint innovation laboratories and centers have been opened with Mail.ru, PJSC Aeroflot, PJSC Tatneft, PJSC Sibur Holding, JSC Russian Post, and other companies.

“In its 13 years of existence, Innopolis University has become one of the leaders in IT education. It hosts an advanced engineering school. By 2030, it will provide training for nearly 14,000 highly qualified IT engineers for real sector companies, primarily in Tatarstan. Together with the university’s technology centers and on the orders of industrial partners, in 4 years PISH has completed R&D totaling nearly 500 million rubles. Innopolis’s research center in the field of AI became one of the winners of the competitive selection and received grant support from the federal project ‘Artificial Intelligence,'” said the vice-premier.

This work is of special importance, as the development of artificial intelligence is a priority set by President Vladimir Putin. At the State Council meeting on workforce training, the head of state gave a number of directives: to update educational standards by including a mandatory module on the use of artificial intelligence, and to ensure the training of instructors and teachers in working with artificial intelligence.

Dmitry Chernyshenko thanked the Republic of Tatarstan, the Innopolis University team, the Ministry of Digital Development, and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for organizing the sixth international forum “Innopolis Digital Days” – an annual platform for dialogue among international experts in the fields of AI, robotics, education, and industry.

In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister was re-elected as chairman of the supervisory board of Innopolis University until April 2032.

“Over the years of its operation, Innopolis University has earned a reputation as the flagship of IT education in Russia, consistently implementing the concept of ‘University 3.0’. Through research, experimental design, and technological work, the university has accumulated about 1,500 intellectual property results, completed over 600 scientific and technological projects, and created approximately 70 products entered in the unified register of Russian software. The university serves as the leading center for the development of industrial robotics in our country and effectively organizes activities of the flagship national research center in artificial intelligence ‘Digital Acceleration of Science’. Today, Innopolis University maintains a high standing in Russian and international rankings. We see great interest in obtaining education at Innopolis, not only among Russian youth. Currently, about 2,000 students from 25 countries are enrolled at the university.””Such results would be impossible without the active support of the university and our initiatives from the federal Government and personally from the President of the country, Vladimir Putin,” said the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.

Dmitry Vandyukov, the director of Innopolis University, reported on the current results of the university’s activities and the interim outcomes of work for the year 2026.
