The “Belyaevo” Gallery is organizing a concert “Masterpieces of Piano Transcription.”
Guests will hear well-known orchestral, vocal, and chamber compositions arranged for piano. Such arrangements reveal the expressive possibilities of the instrument and give familiar works a new sound.
The program includes transcriptions by Ferenc Liszt, who created over 200 arrangements, including works by Franz Schubert and Wolfgang Mozart, as well as transcriptions by Sergey Rachmaninoff of pieces by Franz Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
