In Moscow, special attention is paid to the improvement of courtyards, turning them into safe and multifunctional recreational areas. As part of the urban environment renewal, modern play spaces are being created where every child can find an activity to their liking. Thus, children’s playgrounds feature various elements designed not only for active movement but also for quieter pastimes. Among them are abacuses, easels, tactile panels, gears, and magnetic mazes, which become part of modern play zones and complement the usual slides, swings, and carousels, officials said. in the complex of Moscow’s urban economy.

For example, in the north of the capital, in the square near the cultural center “Neva,” a maze was installed on one of the new playgrounds decorated in the style of popular cartoons and fairy tales. It is located on a large round table and protected by a sturdy transparent dome. Using special external handles and magnetic mechanisms, children can move metal balls along intricate colorful paths. This attraction not only captivates young Muscovites but also effectively develops fine motor skills, perseverance, logical thinking, as well as coordination. A bit further, there is a mathematical trainer for the youngest visitors of the square. The playing field features bright spirals, numerical tracks, and graphic elements that help toddlers get acquainted with the fundamentals of the discipline, practice counting, and study spatial orientation. Parents can assist children in following the routes, turning an ordinary walk into a full-fledged educational activity in the fresh air.

Another attraction for calm children’s recreation has appeared in the east of the capital in the Sokolniki district on Oleniy Val street. Here, a separate play area for toddlers was equipped, and interactive developmental panels with abacuses and the Russian alphabet were installed. Nearby, spring rockers in the shape of a horse and a retro car were placed.

In the city center on Bolshie Kamenschiki Street near houses 15, 17, 19, and 21/8, the main attraction of the area is an original climbing complex shaped like a bright yellow giraffe. For the very young, a mini-town was set up with a gentle plastic slide, ladders, and built-in developmental modules, including a musical one — a colorful xylophone.

Developmental modules have also appeared on a children’s playground in the south of Moscow, in the Nagatino-Sadovniki district on Nagatinskaya Street. Here, for example, a multi-level play complex and a labyrinth have been installed. The playground has also been supplemented with swings, rockers, a seesaw, two carousels, and a sandbox.

Play development elements expand the scenarios for using the children’s playground. A child can not only slide down a slide or swing on the swings, but also draw, count, turn parts, navigate mazes, and interact with various surfaces and mechanisms. As a result, play spaces become more diverse: active elements coexist alongside equipment for calm and educational activities.

Castles, towers, fairy tale motifs: thematic play spaces have been arranged in the capitalSports and playgrounds have been renovated in Chertanovo Yuzhnoye
