At the “Garden Ring” museum, the Moscow theater of Vsevolod Shilovsky will present a play based on the monologue by Valentin Azernikov “Subscriber Temporarily Unavailable.”
According to the plot, producer Sergey Sokolovsky returns home and finds a note from his wife Lera saying she has left. Throughout the evening, he calls her relatives, a friend, and a lawyer — and from these conversations, a picture of what happened emerges: Lera flew to Cyprus with Sergey’s business partner. At the same time, the protagonist faces debts and demands from creditors. All other characters exist only as voices on the other end of the telephone line.
