In the capital, 34 social facilities with a total area of over 470 thousand square meters were commissioned in the third quarter of 2026. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
Moscow is actively developing social infrastructure: every year dozens of new modern schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and clinics are put into operation, forming the framework of a quality urban environment and providing residents with essential services within walking distance. The visual appearance of the facilities takes into account the architectural context of the districts, while becoming recognizable and attractive to city residents.
“From July to September of this year, 34 social facilities with a total area of over 470 thousand square meters were built and put into operation in the capital. Of these, more than 290 thousand square meters are educational facilities. Thus, Moscow saw the addition of 15 new kindergartens, 13 schools, as well as three sports complexes, two cultural facilities, and a polyclinic. The new educational institutions provided the city with over 15 thousand places for school students and kindergarten pupils. Educational facilities were constructed both with budget funds and from extra-budgetary sources,” said Vladimir Yefimov.
The capital’s construction quality standard is ensured by the systematic work of the specialists of “Control Moscow.”
“At every stage of the construction of social infrastructure facilities in the city, the Committee for State Construction Supervision (Mosgosstroynadzor) conducts field inspections. A total of more than 200 control and supervisory activities were carried out at 34 construction sites, during which inspectors assessed the quality of structures and materials for compliance with the approved design and architectural-urban planning requirements,” said the chairman of Mosgosstroynadzor. Anton Slobodchikov.
New social infrastructure facilities have appeared in virtually all administrative districts of the capital.
Investors have built 26 social facilities covering more than 328,000 square meters. They have appeared in 19 districts of the capital, thus all areas are being developed in a balanced manner, where residential construction is provided in advance with the necessary infrastructure. This helps reduce the shortage of places in schools and kindergartens, frees residents from the need to commute daily to other districts for work or study, and creates neighborhoods where shops, clinics, parks, and other facilities can be reached within 15 minutes.
For example, in the Tsaritsyno district on Sevan Street (building 64), a three-story kindergarten with a pool for 250 places was built, which has already received its first pupils. The building, with an area of almost six thousand square meters, houses 10 group units with changing rooms, bedrooms, and buffets, a pool, music and physical education halls, a full-cycle technological kitchen unit, and a medical office. The facades are decorated with concrete clinker tiles in natural shades, bright metal panels, stained glass, and windows with aluminum frames, while the plinth is made of dark porcelain stoneware.
Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin said that in Shcherbinka opened kindergarten for 300 seats.
