Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin took part in the ceremonial opening of the pedestrian boulevard named after the first President of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov, in Grozny, in the new district named after the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

Alexander Novak noted that today, under the leadership of Ramzan Kadyrov, the republic successfully continues the traditions of peace and creation laid down by the first president of Chechnya. Loyalty to the course turns the region into one of the most advanced and investment-attractive, where care is taken for the well-being and prosperity of the homeland.

“It is symbolic that the boulevard is opening in the year of the 75th anniversary of the first president of the republic, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov. This outstanding statesman made a decisive contribution to forming a solid foundation for the future progressive development of the republic as part of Russia. Significant attention is paid not only by the head of state but also by the Government to the development of the region’s social infrastructure, improvement of people’s quality of life, support for small and medium-sized businesses, and the beautification of public spaces. The example of the new boulevard shows how modern builders, architects, and designers can elegantly combine advanced urban solutions with centuries-old traditions of Chechen culture. This is not just a place for relaxation—it is a symbol of generational continuity, patriotic education, and respect for our shared history,” noted the Deputy Prime Minister.

Marat Khusnullin highly praised the region’s infrastructural development in his speech.

“The Chechen Republic is developing dynamically. There is positive progress in housing construction. For example, under the national project ‘Infrastructure for Life,’ we are supposed to build 0.82 square meters per person. Chechnya has long built more than one square meter per person and has already fulfilled the national project’s targets. Alongside this, significant work is being done on infrastructure development. One of the clear examples of comprehensive work is the new district named after the President of Russia, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Here, a comfortable neighborhood is being created with modern housing, quality infrastructure, and an urban environment. Everything is designed for people’s convenience. This is exactly how a modern city should develop. Just this year, 33 public spaces in the republic have been improved. And the new pedestrian boulevard will undoubtedly become another attraction point for residents and city guests. Thanks to everyone who worked on the project, and to the entire regional team under the leadership of Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov for this excellent gift to the city,” said Marat Khusnullin.

Honorary Architect of Russia

Ramzan Kadyrov announced that the new district will take its final form already next year.

“Today we are opening a new boulevard with 38 apartment buildings – half a million square meters of housing – two mosques, and a church. I am confident that the boulevard will become a new landmark of Grozny and a comfortable place for relaxation. Recently, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin reminded us that the decision to maintain the status of the capital and to restore Grozny was made by the first president of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov. The President of Russia then supported this wise decision, and Akhmat-Haji’s team built a new and beautiful city of Grozny. I thank everyone who participated in the construction,” said the head of the republic.
