The photo exhibition “Moscow’s Industry: Technologies that Build the City” opened on Gogolevsky Boulevard. Until October 31, residents and visitors of the capital can get acquainted with advanced solutions that provide the metropolis with everything it needs daily: from breakthrough developments to legendary products known to all. This was reported by Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the capital’s Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

“Moscow’s industry consists of 4,735 high-tech factories that every day provide the residents of our country with the necessary modern products. The solutions of the city’s enterprises are in demand not only in various regions of the Russian Federation, but also abroad. The capital’s export map includes more than 100 countries worldwide. The photo exhibition takes place as part of the Moscow Industry Month and clearly demonstrates how production sites implement advanced technologies to maintain a high level of comfort in the life of each of us. It is an opportunity to look at the things around us differently and to see the scale of activity behind each of them,” noted Anatoly Garbuzov.

The exhibition is presented in thematic blocks dedicated to the key industries of Moscow’s industrial sector. These include the food industry, aerospace, elevator manufacturing, radio electronics, electric vehicle manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. Visitors to the exhibition will learn how Moscow factories produce an artificial kidney, why five layers are created for each “Troika” card, what technologies allow data transmission speeds to increase by 100 times, and how a metropolitan enterprise manages to produce 1,250 “Rot Front” bars per minute.

The organizer of the photo exhibition is the “Open#Mosprom” project, which has been implemented in the city since 2019 and is aimed at promoting the capital’s industry, popularizing science and high technologies, as well as attracting young specialists to enterprises. It is implemented by the Moscow Government and combines various formats, including offline and online factory tours, educational lectures, master classes, intellectual games and quizzes, as well as exhibition and sports events. Since 2019, the initiative has evolved from a series of educational tours at capital enterprises into a full-fledged career guidance ecosystem with a digital platform, a loyalty program, and an extensive network of partnerships. The project unites a variety of production sites: from food enterprises and light industry to elevator manufacturing and microelectronics. Over seven years, more than 3,500 tours and over a thousand master classes have been organized.

Sergey Sobyanin has declared October 2026 the month of Moscow industry. The program includes more than 25 events for businesses, students, young professionals, city residents, and tourists. The capital will host Moscow Investment and Industrial Forum, Career Day, ceremonial awarding of dynasties, over 20 excursions to modern high-tech production facilities, All-Russian hackathon and open educational lectures. Moscow will also host for the first time International Forum of Special Economic Zones, whose guests will be partners from the BRICS countries, the EAEU, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

A large-scale project is presented on the mos.ru portal special project, dedicated to the development of key sectors of Moscow. Among them are transport, industry, healthcare, education, sports, and the construction sector. The special project helps to learn how the capital has changed over the past years, which initiatives aimed at making the lives of residents even more comfortable are currently being implemented, and what awaits Moscow and its inhabitants in the near future.
