Library No. 25 named after Vsevolod Ivanov will hold a literary meeting “I am a sullen and stubborn architect,” dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth and the 105th anniversary of the death of the Russian Silver Age poet, warrior, and traveler Nikolai Gumilev.
The master’s poetry takes you to exotic countries inhabited by courageous heroes and teaches an active, brave outlook on the world. His life resembles an adventure novel: hunting wild animals in the African savanna, heroism on the fronts of the First World War, as well as romantic stories with famous women of the era.
At the meeting, guests will have the opportunity to learn about these and other amazing facts from Nikolai Gumilev’s biography, listen to his famous masterpieces, as well as rare poems that are little known to the general public.
Host — the outstanding reciter, laureate of poetry contests Konstantin Utenin.
