“Elena Kamburova. Tales about Italy” is a new musical-literary evening based on two stories by Alexey Gorky — “Nuncha” and “Pepe.”
While still a student, Elena Kamburova recorded the story “Nuncha” for the radio station “Yunost,” and in 1980 a vinyl record was released featuring Maxim Gorky’s stories from the series “Tales of Italy,” which she had loved since her time at the circus school.
An incredible thirst for life, depth of self-sacrifice, authenticity of passions — all these fill fairy tales, so unlike real life, and at the same time so close to every person at moments of life choices, despair, and moments of pure happiness.
Director, composer — Denis Sorokotyagin.
Performers: Elena Kamburova, Polina Chernova, Denis Sorokotyagin (piano), Vyacheslav Golikov (guitar).
