Deputy Prime Minister – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev visited the branch of the “Warrior” center in Blagoveshchensk, where he held a conversation with the branch’s management and instructors.
“One of the country’s leading military educational institutions is located in the Amur Region. It is the Far Eastern Guards Combined Arms Command Order of Zhukov School named after Marshal of the Soviet Union K.K. Rokossovsky – a military educational institution of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Therefore, here, the responsibilities during the training of the cadets are higher than in other regions. Instructors must teach better,” said Yuri Trutnev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the ‘Warrior’ center.
The tour was conducted by the branch director Andrey Medvedev, who spoke about the organization’s activities, its results, and plans for the future. Yuri Trutnev inspected the classrooms, gym, and shooting range, evaluating the material and technical equipment.
Recall that the branch’s operation was officially launched on September 3 by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, at the Eastern Economic Forum. However, the ‘Warrior’ center in the Amur region began its work before the official opening. Six military-patriotic sessions called ‘Time of Young Heroes’ were held based at the regional center ‘Avangard’ and the children’s health camp ‘Stroitel’, where over 600 teenagers were trained.
Since September, classes have been held in 19 groups, with about 350 people participating. By the end of 2026, it is planned to train 1,000 people. Currently, 40 people work at the branch, half of whom are instructors-methodologists with combat and pedagogical experience.
The program includes intensive military-sports training, patriotic education, and volunteer activities. Cadets study firearms and tactical training, first aid and tactical medicine, and sniping. Training in unmanned system control will begin soon – the branch will receive the necessary equipment: laptops, controllers, UAVs.
Special attention is paid to educational work. Teenagers participate in community campaigns, city events, visit museums, exhibitions, and excursions, and help collect humanitarian aid for the fighters of the special military operation. Since September, a platoon of cadet recruits has been participating in the all-Russian patriotic course of the “Shoulder to Shoulder” center.
The branch is also expanding cooperation with educational institutions. Agreements have already been signed with Amur State University, the volunteer organization “Factory for Our Own,” and several schools. The issue of awarding additional points to entrance exams for cadets with the center’s certificate is being worked out—up to 10 points depending on the university.
“As soon as it became known that a branch of the center would open in the capital of the Amur region, people began to inquire about how to join its students. The same story applied to instructors. They called and asked where to send their resumes. This indicates that we are on the right path. Raising future defenders, true patriots, is one of the key tasks before us. And the center has become an important step towards its fulfillment,” noted Vasily Orlov, the governor of the Amur region.
“The opening of branches of the ‘Warrior’ center and the upbringing of youth in the spirit of patriotism are connected with how our country will live and develop. This is a matter of our future. In the Amur region, there is one of the leading schools of our country. The branch of the ‘Warrior’ center in the Amur region must become one of the best. They should learn from their senior colleagues, acquire experience and knowledge, and teach our youth,” summed up Yuri Trutnev after visiting the branch of the ‘Warrior’ center.
The “Warrior” Center was established by order of the President of Russia on December 1, 2022. Its mission is to prepare a new generation of patriots who love the Motherland and know how to defend it.
