Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Government Staff Dmitry Grigorenko held a meeting with the heads of digital transformation of federal executive bodies and subjects of the Russian Federation. The participants discussed the implementation of the national plan for the deployment of artificial intelligence until 2030.
In the near future, the draft national plan will be reviewed by the Commission under the President on Artificial Intelligence Technology Development. The document is aimed at implementing AI at both the federal and regional levels. The measures for its implementation should be reflected in the digital transformation programs of federal executive authorities and the digitalization programs of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
“For each indicator of the national plan, we develop a specific action plan: we set deadlines, assign responsible persons, and identify necessary resources. At the same time, we assess the expected effect of each measure. This will allow us to move next year from plans to implement AI to evaluating concrete results,” noted Dmitry Grigorenko.
A number of indicators provided for by the national plan will be achieved through federal AI solutions, some of which are developed and funded by the Ministry of Digital Development. Agencies and regions will have the opportunity to connect to these solutions.
Information about the events for implementing the national plan will be collected on a unified dashboard. This will allow tracking the progress of their implementation and seeing the overall picture across the country. The results will be under constant control and monitoring. The outcomes of the national plan’s implementation are planned to be reviewed annually at meetings of the Commission under the President on Artificial Intelligence Technology Development Issues.
Dmitry Grigorenko also reported that the “Digital Region” portal has already gathered information on 509 AI solutions being implemented in the regions of Russia.
Earlier, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin instructed the Government, together with regional heads, to prepare and approve a national plan for the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in economic sectors, social spheres, and public administration at the federal level and at the level of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
