On October 17, the anniversary fifth eco-festival will be held at the South River Terminal. The capital regularly holds free events for children and adults to foster a responsible attitude towards the environment. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.
“On Sergey Sobyanin’s instructions, we support initiatives and projects that help care for the environment. Modern electric buses regularly run on the surface transport line, and we hold themed events for passengers. For example, on October 17, there will be an eco-festival where you can learn more about how to help nature,” added Maxim Liksutov.
The program includes a meeting with the electric bus driver, the operation of an eco-mobile and an eco-station where recyclable materials can be submitted, educational quests, quizzes, and a lecture “Ecology of Communication” with the participation of specialists from the Crime Prevention Center. Children will be able to take pictures with Electrobusik — the hero of informational posters in the city ground transport.
Anyone interested will be able to try the eco-virtual reality simulator “How Animals See” and pedal the bike shredder to crush plastic. Guests will also enjoy a concert featuring artists from the “Fest-FM” production center for children’s and youth creative groups. Additionally, a mobile exhibition from the recycling museum will be on display.
Entry to the festival is free.

The Southern River Terminal reopened after reconstruction in April 2023. After the renovation, the terminal resumed accepting cruise ships and became a modern public space. Comfortable conditions were created inside the building and on the territory for visitors and river transport passengers.
From the South River Terminal, you can embark on a river cruise on a cruise ship, as well as enjoy picturesque Moscow views on a sightseeing boat.
