Deputy Prime Ministers Tatyana Golikova and Dmitry Chernyshenko participated in a meeting of the collegium of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia. The participants discussed the results of FMBA’s work in 2025, as well as the tasks for 2026.
Vice Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova noted the significant role of the agency in caring for the health of citizens, work related to particularly hazardous working conditions, ensuring radiation, chemical, and biological safety, as well as the development of industrial medicine. According to her, by 2025 the number of comprehensive health centers in Russia increased by 25%, and by 2027 more than 60 centers and 400 medical units should be created. In 35 regions of the country, additional service for 102 enterprises with a staff of more than 168 thousand people has been organized at workplaces.
Special attention is paid to improving the quality and availability of medical care for the serviced contingent and residents of settlements, especially where FMBA Russia medical organizations are the only ones in the territory.
“Today, the Federal Medical and Biological Agency takes care of the health of more than 3 million people living, among others, in closed administrative-territorial formations, satellite cities, and science cities. Over the past three years, the accessibility of medical care for patients with cardiovascular diseases has increased, which has allowed to reduce the mortality of the served contingent compared to 2024: from circulatory system diseases by 3.4%, from myocardial infarction by 16.9%, and from acute cerebrovascular accidents by 6.1%.””These are tens of thousands of lives of our citizens saved,” said Tatyana Golikova.

In 2025, the number of bone marrow donors exceeded 500 thousand people, and this number is growing. Compared to 2024, referrals to the registry doubled, which allowed a 19% increase in the number of allogeneic bone marrow transplants and hematopoietic stem cell transplants. At the same time, the number of transplants from Russian donors increased by 20%.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko thanked the FMBA for its significant contribution to ensuring Russia’s technological leadership – a national goal set by President Vladimir Putin.
