Children’s Library No. 203 invites you to the ecological celebration “Titmouse Day,” which is annually observed on November 12th at the initiative of the Russian Bird Protection Union.
On this day, residents of various settlements across the country prepare to welcome the birds that stay for the winter: tits, goldfinches, bullfinches, jays, bramblings, and waxwings. They prepare feed for them, including ‘titmouse treats’ — unsalted lard, raw seeds, dried rowan berries — and hang up feeders.
At the meeting, they will talk about the importance of wintering birds for the city and sculpt a composition called “Titmouse Day” out of plasticine.
