In “Moscow Electronic School“(“MES”) introduced the ‘Say Thank You to the Teacher’ feature. Now students can send teachers digital gratitude for their contribution to academic, sports, and creative achievements. In addition, in the gamification service, schoolchildren can give teachers virtual surprises. A special collection of seven options has been developed for Teacher’s Day. This was reported by the press service of the capital Department of Education and Science.
“By Teacher’s Day, two tools appeared in ‘MESH’: students can present their teachers with digital thank-you notes and gifts that were previously only shareable with classmates,” the agency’s press service said.
To send a digital thank you, the student needs to go to the “Student Portfolio” service. Then it is necessary to select an event or award, such as participation or victory in an olympiad, a high result on the Basic State Exam (OGE) or the Unified State Exam (EGE). After that, one should click on the award or contest card and press the “Say thank you to the teacher” button. The system will ask to specify the teacher’s name and the subject they teach. The gratitude will be displayed in the “Teacher’s Portfolio” service in the “I am with students” section. More about this feature can be found in instructions or video.
To send a virtual surprise to a teacher, you need to go to the “Store” section of the “Gifts” service and choose a suitable one. Among the Teacher’s Day gifts are a bouquet of peonies, tulips, and chocolate. They are purchased with virtual stars, which are earned by completing daily tasks, participating in tournaments and marathons. In marathons, students solve a series of timed problems, and in tournaments, they compete in leagues. Winners can earn up to a thousand stars. How to send a surprise is described in detail in reference.
