The business program structure of the international forum “Russian Energy Week,” which will take place October 14–16 in Moscow, has been published on the official website of REN-2026. It will be dedicated to the transition “from energy resources and technologies to future prosperity.” For the first time, the Russian Energy Week will be held simultaneously at two venues: the Central Exhibition Hall “Manege” and Gostiny Dvor. In addition, a large-scale exhibition of equipment and technologies for the fuel and energy complex will be deployed at Gostiny Dvor. The Russian Energy Week is held with the support of the Government of Russia, the Ministry of Energy, and the Moscow government. The forum organizer is the Roscongress Foundation.

The architecture of the REN-2026 business program includes seven thematic blocks: “Transformation of the oil market,” “Development of the gas market,” “Investments in the electric power industry,” “New energy,” “Ecology and energy efficiency,” “Energy of international cooperation,” and “Education and personnel.” This will allow coverage of a wide range of issues in modern energy: from geopolitical shocks in traditional oil and gas markets to new energy sources and resources for their creation.

“The task of the Russian Energy Week – 2026 is to make the industry dialogue as practical as possible. Therefore, the business program agenda is structured around key segments of the fuel and energy complex: the oil and gas sector, electric power industry, renewable energy sources, and technological modernization. At the same time, blocks on technology and industry strategy have been reinforced, which will allow participants to obtain ready guidelines for planning and implementing solutions. Special attention will be paid to international projects and investments,” noted Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

Participants of REN-2026 will discuss global changes in oil and gas markets, the development of international energy cooperation, investments and modernization in power engineering, the emergence of new players such as energy storage systems and data centers. Special attention will be paid to energy supply in the Arctic and remote areas, robotization and the development of small distributed generation, environmental and climate agenda, as well as issues of engineering sovereignty and personnel security in the fuel and energy sector.

“Within the business program, attention will be paid to technological sovereignty and import substitution in the fuel and energy complex. The key message of the discussions is the transition from import substitution to import advancement: the creation of domestic solutions that not only replace foreign counterparts but surpass them in characteristics and are ready for scaling both in the domestic and external markets,” noted Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of Russia and Executive Secretary of the REN-2026 Organizing Committee.

The forum program will also include Youth Day and the solemn award ceremony for the winners of the international journalism prize “Energy of the Pen,” designed to encourage journalists, commentators, and experts writing about the most pressing issues of modern energy.
