The laboratory was established by the Moscow company “Medtechnoproject” in collaboration with the Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin. A complete production cycle has been established at the new site. Here, biopolymer vascular prostheses are developed and manufactured using textile technologies.
“Essentially, it is a tube with a special weave made from unique threads. As a result, the wall of the future implant is simultaneously thin, flexible, and at the same time minimally stretchable. The prosthesis can function in the human body throughout a lifetime and significantly extend it if the doctor’s recommendations are followed,” noted the Mayor of Moscow.
