The eighth season of the “Video Game Factory” accelerator has started in Moscow. Applications will be accepted until October 19. Residents of the capital and other regions of Russia are invited to participate, it was reported Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

“This year, the program consists of several blocks that take into account different levels of participants. For example, beginners will be helped to determine their concept and create their first prototype, more experienced teams will refine their pilot versions together with mentors. And those who already have a finished product will focus on presentations for investors and market entry,” said Natalia Sergunina.

Within the accelerator, participants will create 30 projects under the guidance of experts. The best of them will be presented to potential investors. The program includes individual consultations, practical sessions, game testing, and much more.

For industry representatives, the Moscow cluster of video games and animation operates in the capital, unique in the world. The cluster includes 70 companies. Major industry events take place here, including the Moscow International Video Games Week, “Cyber Saturdays,” tournaments, and conferences.

The city regularly organizes business trips abroad for developers. For example, in April, the Moscow Games Festival and a business mission took place in Brazil, following which, the Moscow Creative Industries Agency signed a cooperation agreement with the Brazilian video game cluster Brasilia Game Hub. In November, Russian specialists will participate in the industry exhibition WePlay Expo in China.
