Acceleration program “Export Mentoring” Moscow Export Center (MEC) is designed for entrepreneurs who seek to expand their business geography and scale it internationally. Over six months, participants, together with an experienced mentor, develop roadmaps for entering three new markets and find potential partners for cooperation.

Participants of the second cohort of the “Export Mentoring” program by MEC, which started in March of this year, have achieved their first successes in the global market by signing contracts with partners from China and Kazakhstan.

“The ‘Export Mentoring’ program is primarily focused on results. The second cycle has just ended, but with the support of an experienced mentor and experts, participants have already been able to sign five contracts. The program allows companies in the city to significantly improve their export competencies, bring products to the international market, or scale up deliveries abroad. We expect further successes from the participants of ‘Export Mentoring’ and will continue to support entrepreneurs representing Moscow in the global market. As a result of the first cycle of the MEC program, completed in July last year, Moscow companies signed export contracts totaling over 550 million rubles,” said Vitaly Stepanov, General Director of the Moscow Export Center.

Participants of the program acquired knowledge on entering international markets, worked with experts on product certification and localization of commercial materials, and were also able to conclude agency agreements. Additionally, 50 meetings were organized with potential partners from China, Kazakhstan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, India, Egypt, Serbia, and other countries. The second cohort of the program has finished, and participants were awarded certificates. In the coming months, they plan to consolidate the achieved results and utilize new opportunities for export.

Thus, one Moscow-based food manufacturer has already signed two contracts with China to supply natural juices and frozen berries, while another has agreed on fish product deliveries. Another capital city company has concluded two contracts with Kazakhstan to supply equipment and materials.

Export Mentoring Program

The “Export Mentoring” program is designed for entrepreneurs aiming to expand the geographical reach of their business and is built around individual collaboration with a mentor. For six months, an experienced international market specialist joins the team, who not only shares knowledge but also helps achieve practical results: supports the negotiation process and guides the company until real deals are concluded. The program includes a thorough diagnosis and audit of the business with an assessment of its export potential. Based on the obtained data, an individual development plan for international markets is created with clear measurable goals.

In addition, program participants have access to consultations with specialized experts on a wide range of topics — from product certification and legal issues to the nuances of conducting international payments. Thematic workshops and training sessions are also held, allowing for a deeper immersion into the key intricacies of entering international markets. This comprehensive approach helps exporters feel confident when solving complex operational challenges.
