Activists, public associations, charitable foundations, and religious organizations of the Southern Administrative District (SAD) from January to September 2026 sent nearly 650 tons of humanitarian aid to participants of the special military operation (SMO), medical units, and residents of border and new regions. In total, more than 90 trips were made. Assistance was formed taking into account the current requests of military units, hospitals, and civilians.

For example, activists from the Donskoy district delivered about seven tons of humanitarian aid to the Kherson region and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). They collected more than 1.5 tons of food products, about 1.5 tons of clothing and uniforms, the same amount of items and toys for children, nearly a ton of medicines and dressings for the DPR hospital, as well as tactical first aid kits and camouflage nets. The shipment is carried out by residents with the support of non-profit organizations.

Activists from the charity fund “This Is My Homeland” in the Zyablikovo district delivered nine quadcopters, four electronic warfare systems, three multipurpose unmanned aerial vehicles, three KamAZ trucks loaded with saw and construction materials, five tons of water, and about 1,500 boxes of food to the SVO zone.

In addition, the volunteer club «Паучки ZябликоVo» operates in the area, providing humanitarian support to participants of the special military operation and residents of the DPR, Luhansk People’s Republic, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions.

“This year, our association has sent about 120 cubic meters of cargo, including 500 portions of homemade preserves, camouflage equipment for personnel and machinery, trench candles, generators, medicines, blankets, children’s shoes, and food. Our work becomes a source of warmth and protection for the fighters. Our assistance is a piece of home comfort that we send where it is especially needed,” said Natalia Burtseva, the head of the association.

From the public association “Sembat”, 13.5 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to military units: tactical uniforms, camouflage nets, food, tools, equipment, and building materials.

In the Chertanovo Severnoye area, humanitarian work is carried out by public advisors, church parishes, charitable and volunteer organizations. The former prepare humanitarian aid packages weighing from 600 kilograms for the party fighters. They are assembled once or twice a month. These include communication equipment, anti-drone ponchos, camouflage nets, sleeping bags, generators, construction materials, and food.

At the Church of the Sovereign Icon of the Mother of God, essential items for fighters are produced daily and humanitarian aid is collected. In nine months of this year, 310 camouflage nets, 220 anti-drone curtains, more than 3.8 thousand stretchers, 150 trench candles were made here, as well as food, spare parts for vehicles, and necessary equipment were delivered. At the church dedicated to the Icon of the Mother of God “Unexpected Joy,” tactical clothing for soldiers, anti-drone cloaks, and bedding for hospitals are sewn.

Humanitarian aid for participants of the Special Military Operation, military hospitals, and residents of new territories is being collected by municipal and public associations, activists, cultural institutions, veterans, and business representatives. For example, in the Biryulyovo Zapadnoye district, the club “Networks for Our Own” is active.

“The club association mainly consists of older generation residents. Currently, we have about 20 regular participants, and together we make camouflage nets and “Leshiy” suits. Since the beginning of the year, we have delivered more than 600 linear meters of such products. New activists who also want to contribute to the common cause are joining,” said Marina Borchikova, the club leader.

With the participation of the district administration, deputies, the apparatus of the council of deputies, and public organizations, they delivered generators, beds, mattresses, hygiene products, and trench candles. Separately for the hospital in Lugansk — rehabilitation equipment and medicines. Veteran organizations also sent clothing, hygiene items, and sweets. Business representatives provided fuel, spare parts, generators, as well as a UAZ vehicle and a night vision device. For children living in the new territories, the district administration, the apparatus of the council of deputies, and entrepreneurs collected stationery supplies.

Within the framework of the project “Summer in Moscow” At the flagship site in the South Administrative Okrug in the Sosenki Park, there was a humanitarian aid collection point. During its operation, more than 500 units of various items were received — from canned goods to clothing for children and adults, as well as letters for soldiers.

The coordination of humanitarian initiatives based in cultural institutions in the district is carried out by the Association of Cultural and Leisure Centers of the Southern Administrative District of Moscow (OKC YUAO).
