A meeting of the organizing committee of the XIV International Sports Forum “Russia – a Sporting Power” (RSD) was held at the House of the Government of the Russian Federation, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko. The forum is held in accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and conduct of the forum Anton Kobyakov, the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee Mikhail Degtyaryov, and the Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai Mikhail Kotyukov, as well as representatives of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, relevant ministries, and agencies.
“In October, the XIV International Sports Forum ‘Russia – a Sports Power’ will be held in Krasnoyarsk. This is a significant event in the sports and social life of our country. The architecture of the business program includes a plenary session, about 40 various events, meetings of ministers and heads of delegations. Sports and cultural program projects have also been developed. The events will reflect the theme of the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, which is being held by order of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. I invite Russian and foreign participants to take part in the forum and exchange experiences with like-minded people from different countries!” said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that invitations have already been sent to Russian and foreign participants, including representatives of international sports federations, organizations, and associations.
The main venues of the forum have been identified – the Sibir International Exhibition and Business Center and the Crystal Arena Ice Palace, as well as an additional one – the Russia National Center of the Krasnoyarsk Krai.
The expansion of the forum’s international agenda allows it to strengthen its status as one of the key global platforms for constructive dialogue, where representatives of different countries can already seek joint solutions to address the challenges facing the sports community in an era of global change.
“The forum is focused on reflecting current trends in Russian and global sports, as well as transforming the venue into a space for broad international dialogue. The growing importance of RSD for the global community is confirmed both by the composition of foreign delegations and the structure of the business program, which this year will cover almost 4 times more topics of the global sports agenda compared to last year. The search for new interaction models, analysis of common challenges, and the formation of connections to solve joint tasks – all this will be the focus at the forum in Krasnoyarsk,” noted Anton Kobyakov, the responsible secretary of the organizing committee of the International Sports Forum “Russia – a Sporting Power.”
The Minister of Sports, Chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee Mikhail Degtyaryov noted that a rich program of events has been prepared, and also talked about the guests of the upcoming forum.
“The business program will include 40 sessions, including Youth Day events and educational programs. At the same time, the number of international sessions will be increased. Traditionally, the main event will be the plenary session and the Council under the President of Russia for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports, which will take place on the sidelines of the forum.
Special attention is paid to inviting foreign delegations. We expect more than 20 foreign sports ministers and heads of national Olympic committees, as well as leaders and representatives of international sports organizations, to participate in the forum. In total, representatives from more than 50 countries have confirmed their participation in the forum,” emphasized Mikhail Degtyaryov.
