This year, 38 clubs and associations participated in the fair. The purpose of the event is to present student communities, attract new members, and showcase everything that can be done at NSU after classes.
Guests were awaited by quizzes, games, dances, master classes, and performances. Among the participants were Muzklub, Academic Choir, vocal studio “Million Voices,” Swing Dance NSU, studio of historical and Irish dance “Medival,” theatrical studio “kvARTira,” Ethnoclub “Semyonov Day,” Photoclub, Radio “Kaktus,” Club “Kvant,” “Maximin,” “GlumClub,” sports club ENOT, ultimate frisbee team Research Institute TUDA, medical volunteers, Student Teams Headquarters, “You Are Not Alone,” SCORA NSU, “Studtourism,” “Your Move,” patriotic club “Academists,” Book Club, literary club “PolLitera et cetera,” reading group “Digma,” RPG club “Tavern,” Bridge Club, Tea Club, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Ecoclub “WoodGoblin,” Siberian English Club, Interclub, NSU volunteers association, and others.
— Everyone tried to stand out and show why you should join them in particular. Quizzes, games, dances, fiery performances by the Music Club and the Fire and Light Workshop, immersion in virtual reality — the fair turned out to be extremely rich and fascinating. For first-year and senior students, this provides a clear picture of how to comprehensively realize their potential within the university walls, — told Doluma Manchyn, a youth work specialist of the Youth Policy and Educational Work Department of NSU.
The NSU volunteers’ association at the fair was not just talking about itself but showing what volunteers do every day: helping others, participating in university and city events. Students were actively interested in how to join the club and how they could help.
— My dear volunteers and I represented the NSU Volunteers Club, talked about the activities we participate in, how we help others, and the events we take part in — not only at NSU but also in the city. The interaction with students was very positive: the guys were interested in our club, asked how they could get involved and how to help. “After Classes” is a great event for student clubs to introduce themselves to newcomers, remind upperclassmen, and have a loud and fun time together with other neighboring clubs. Thanks to the organizers — this year there were significantly more people than usual., — shared Bogdan Martynov, a 4th-year FIT NSU student, the head of the NSU volunteer association.
The NSU Music Club turned its venue into an improvised stage: musicians played heartfelt songs, interacted with the audience, and held workshops and contests such as “Guess the Song Backwards” and “Guess the Great Rocker.”
— It was really cool to see so many talented people from different clubs, active students who are interested in something and eager to share their favorite activity with others. This event creates a comfortable atmosphere of student unity and at the same time a diversity of hobbies, allowing you to find new friends not only from your own faculty. I want to express my gratitude to all the organizers for their efforts — we look forward to the next opportunity like this with great anticipation., — he said Bogdan Myakishev, 2nd-year FIT NSU student.
The “After Classes” fair kicked off the new recruitment season for many student organizations. For the clubs, it is an opportunity to introduce themselves, find new members, and start working with a refreshed lineup. For the students, it is a chance to try something new, find a group with shared interests, and make their student years more vibrant.
Important: even if you didn’t manage to attend the fair, you can still join NSU’s student clubs and associations. Many communities continue recruiting throughout the academic year. Follow announcements in the official club groups and on the resources of NSU’s Youth Policy and Educational Work Department — information about meetings, gatherings, and new recruitments is published there.
