The season of film and animation screenings in the cinema at the Northern River Station park area has ended. This year it was called “Kinocport.” The screening program was developed jointly with a major online cinema. Residents and guests of the capital could travel to fairy-tale worlds, visit space, enjoy cinematic classics, and get acquainted with new domestic directors.
“The open-air cinema ‘Kinopo rt’ has become the main attraction for guests of the Northern River Station in just a few months. It was visited by a record 19,500 people. This is more than twice the figure of the entire last season. We prepared a comfortable environment and a diverse program for the guests. On the instructions of Sergey Sobyanin, we are developing the infrastructure of the Northern River Station and doing everything to make it interesting here at any time of the year. Thank you for spending this season with us!” — noted the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
Throughout the entire season, more than 220 film screenings and eight special showings with invited guests took place here. Cinema visitors watched the live broadcast of the launch of the manned spacecraft Soyuz MS-29 for the 75th long-duration expedition to the International Space Station, saw the broadcast of the France vs. Spain semifinal match of the World Cup, celebrated the anniversary of the film La La Land, listened to a lecture about anime, watched a reinterpretation of the cult manga Ghost in the Shell, and many other domestic and foreign films.
For the comfort and convenience of visitors, the cinema was equipped with soft cushions, warm blankets, and free treats (popcorn and drinks).
Everyone who wished could take a commemorative photo in the themed photo booth either before or after the session.
In the summer, the “Children’s Safety School” operated here for young visitors. During six lessons in the form of master classes, guests learned many interesting things about the work of Moscow transport.
