In the new academic year, stickers saying “Lost? Wait for the stop and contact the driver” have appeared on more than 6,500 passenger buses and electric buses of Mosgortrans. They were placed as part of the “Lost? Don’t Leave!” project in cooperation with the “Missing Children Search” foundation. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.

“By the order of Sergey Sobyanin, special attention is given to the issue of transport security. In the new academic year, stickers saying ‘Lost? Wait for the stop and contact the driver’ have appeared on the rolling stock of Mosgortrans. They will help lost children not to be afraid to approach drivers and to remain calm in unforeseen situations. We urge young passengers to be attentive and to follow the rules of conduct on transport,” added Maksim Liksutov.

The stickers feature Elektrobusik — the children’s hero of Moscow transport. He tells young passengers what to do if they get lost.

Children and their parents are reminded: if a young passenger gets lost, it is important not to panic and not to leave the vehicle with strangers. It is necessary to wait for the stop to avoid an emergency situation, and then inform the driver about what happened.

“Moscow transport is one of the safest in the world. Five years ago in the metro and at Moscow Central Circle stickers for lost children have appeared. We are glad that the project is developing and Mosgortrans buses and electric buses have also been equipped with such stickers. The electric bus helps young passengers by indicating what to do if they get lost during the trip. And such situations are quite common: a child may miss their stop, get separated from their parents, or board the wrong electric bus. The driver will definitely help. We ask all parents to tell their children about these stickers and show them,” said Dmitry Vtorov, president of the Missing Children Search Foundation and member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Moscow is actively developing ground transportation and implementing modern services for passengers. The project “Lost? Wait for the stop and ask the driver” was launched on May 23 at the Southern River Terminal as part of the Safety Day specifically for ground urban transport. It was inaugurated by representatives of the state unitary enterprise “Mosgortrans” and the “Missing Children Search” foundation.

Young Muscovites will be told about safe behavior on transport

All buses and electric buses of Mosgortrans meet the highest quality and safety standards for passengers. The low-floor transport is fully adapted for the comfort of people with limited mobility. For this, a folding ramp and driver call buttons are provided. If necessary, the driver will help to enter and exit the vehicle. Bicycles, strollers, or large luggage can be conveniently placed on the accumulation platform.

You can pay for the ride in any convenient way using digital validators. In electric buses, an air curtain activates when the doors open. It helps maintain a comfortable temperature inside the cabin. For passenger safety, the vehicle is equipped with video cameras outside and inside.
