Beijing, April 15 /Xin Hua/ — The sovereignty, security, and legal rights and interests of Iran as a state located on the shore of the Strait of Hormuz must be respected and protected, while at the same time freedom and security of navigation on international sea routes through the strait must be ensured. This was stated on Wednesday by the Foreign Minister of the PRC Wang Yi.
Van Yi, who is also a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPC, made the corresponding statements during a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
