An additional 1.2 billion rubles have been allocated from the government’s reserve fund for connecting houses of preferential categories of citizens to gas networks. The order to distribute these funds among the regions within the framework of the social gasification program was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Federal subsidies on a cost-sharing basis will be received by 56 entities that have expressed such a need. With their help, more than 13,000 families entitled to benefits will be provided funds for the purchase of equipment and the execution of work to connect homes to gas networks.

Such support from the state is received by parents with many children, people with low incomes, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants in the special military operation and their family members, persons with group I disabilities, as well as citizens caring for children with disabilities.

The decision was announced by Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with the deputy prime ministers on September 21. The Chairman of the Government noted that in a significant part of the country, the heating season has already begun. “Under such conditions, all activities related to heat supply are of special importance to the people and must be carried out smoothly and clearly,” emphasized the head of the cabinet and instructed Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak to keep this issue under personal control.
