In 2021, the first specialized endoscopic center opened in the capital — based at Moscow multidisciplinary scientific and clinical center named after S.P. Botkin. Today, such centers also operate in V.M. Buyanov City Clinical Hospital (CCH), at the Moscow Multidisciplinary Clinical Center “Kommounarka,” the Moscow Clinical Scientific Center named after A.S. Loginov, and the City Clinical Hospital named after S.S. Yudin. Over five years, more than 700 thousand patients have been examined there. This was reported on his channel on in the messenger “Max” Sergey Sobyanin reported.
Doctors have modern expert-class equipment at their disposal, including 12 video endoscopic systems and more than 80 units of medical equipment. Patients are accompanied at every stage: they are reminded in advance about necessary examinations and given detailed explanations of the preparation rules.
Comprehensive approach allows to obtain the most reliable results and detect diseases at the earliest stages. The studies are performed under mild sedation, making the procedures comfortable for patients, and the entire visit to the center takes no more than two hours,” wrote Sergey Sobyanin.

Since 2021, more than 225,000 patients have undergone examinations at the endoscopy center of Botkin Hospital. Doctors detected malignant tumors of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) at zero and early stages in more than 3,500 patients, when treatment is most effective.
“Last year, we launched a project for proactive endoscopic examinations aimed at the early detection of gastrointestinal diseases and pathologies preceding the development of cancer. Residents of Moscow who have not undergone gastroscopy and colonoscopy for several years have been given referrals for examinations. More than 300 thousand people have already undergone these examinations,” said Sergey Sobyanin.
