Two modern sports clusters have appeared in the southwest of the capital. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Utilities and Improvement Affairs Pyotr Biryukov.

“In the new spaces, local residents of different ages and varying levels of sports training can engage in outdoor sports; children’s play areas are also provided,” noted Petr Biryukov.

The first cluster appeared near building 10 on Architektora Vlasova Street, covering an area of 1.2 hectares. It features a football field, a basketball court, a workout zone with pull-up bars and dip bars, an area with outdoor and cardio trainers, tables for table tennis, and a full-sized obstacle course in the style of “Russian Ninja.” For young residents, playgrounds with safe rubber flooring and modern play complexes were arranged.

Another sports cluster has been created on Leninsky Prospekt, near building 85, block 6. A small obstacle course, two ping-pong tables, 19 strength training machines with canopies, as well as zones for boxing workouts have been installed there. Nearby, a new children’s playground in the shape of a bear with a honey barrel has been set up.

In addition, energy-efficient lighting fixtures were installed on the territory of the sports clusters and landscaping was carried out.

This year, landscaping took place in two blocks in the Lomonosovsky district. In total, 37 children’s and 17 sports playgrounds were renovated, as well as 83 recreational areas.
