At the center of practical training “Professions of the Future” a new season of career guidance meetings “PROSaturday: your child’s future” for schoolchildren and their parents is opening. Guests will be told about promising professions, current labor market trends, and will be helped to navigate educational programs of the capital’s colleges.

The first meeting will take place on September 26 at 12:00 at the address: 38 Shchepkina Street, building 1. Participation is free, registration is possible at link.

“Thanks to career orientation meetings, schoolchildren and their parents receive up-to-date information about the labor market in Moscow, become acquainted with in-demand professions, and also have the opportunity to undergo testing and discuss the results with career experts, immerse themselves in the desired profession through VR and an immersive 5D cinema, consult with representatives of leading colleges. Such meetings help students better understand their abilities and build their educational trajectory, and parents receive answers to pressing questions about how to help their child choose a future profession and educational path,” said Andrey Tarasov, head of the Moscow Employment Service and the “Professions of the Future” center.

Testing and meetings with college representatives

Meetings of “PROSaturday: the future of your child” are held monthly during the school year at the “Professions of the Future” center. The events last about three hours.

Ninth graders and their parents will be able to talk with representatives of leading colleges in Moscow. Specialists will explain how to achieve the desired profession, how practice-oriented education is organized, and what employment opportunities graduates have.

Career guidance testing and consultations with career mentors will help students identify their interests and strengths, as well as learn about the requirements for education and employment in various specialties. Using a VR simulator, students will be able to explore different professions and try themselves, for example, as a welder, baker, or barista.

Opportunities of the “Professions of the Future” center

As Sergey Sobyanin noted in the strategy for the development of Moscow’s social protection system until 2030, the capital will continue to scale up the comprehensive career guidance program. Every teenager will be able to make a conscious choice of their future specialty.

The “Professions of the Future” center in Pechatniki will become the largest in the country — Sobyanin

The Moscow Employment Service is the largest government staffing operator, assisting Moscow residents in finding jobs. At the “Professions of the Future” center (38 Shchepkina Street, Building 1), one can master one of 75 in-demand specialties across various economic sectors in a maximum of three months. Career mentors will help with employment after completing the training. Among the institution’s partners are more than three thousand employers.

The center works not only with adults. A comprehensive career guidance program is implemented here for ninth-grade students. Since the beginning of the year, the project has been expanded to include students in grades 10-11.

In the fall of 2025, the “Professions of the Future” center established its own practical training site in Pechatniki. The educational process covers the full cycle — from training adults and college students to graduating qualified specialists and providing their ongoing support in the labor market. Adults can acquire an in-demand profession or improve their qualifications and skill level, while college students can undertake internships organized by their educational institutions.
