A unique training ground for educational and production practice of students of the future super college, studying in the field of “Construction”, will be created in Kommunarka. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
“The largest supercollege in Russia, with an area of over 113 thousand square meters, is planned to be built in Kommunarka. Specialists will be trained here in a number of key fields, including construction, industry, IT, transport, education, creative industries and hospitality, finance, and trade. The facility, designed for more than 16,600 students, will be equipped with modern laboratories and equipment. Within the ‘Construction’ direction, students will be able to practically engage in production processes and acquire skills at a unique educational and production training ground. Approximately 200 students and 56 teachers and representatives of engineering and technical staff will be able to work on the training ground simultaneously,” said Vladimir Efimov.
The training ground will be located approximately 600 meters from the super college building. On its territory, it is planned to construct non-permanent structures, including a headquarters, a preparation workshop, a parking lot for special equipment, a warehouse for inventory equipment, and a section for the installation of external engineering networks.
“The main feature of the testing ground, covering an area of more than 20,000 square meters, will be the ability to practice construction processes in conditions as close to real as possible. For this purpose, functional zones will be equipped here, where students will be able to learn site preparation, installation of sheet pile walls, excavation and foundation slab construction, erection of walls and floors, roofing installation, engineering equipment, windows and doors, as well as finishing works,” noted the head of the Department of Civil Construction of the city of Moscow.
In the preparation shop, separate zones will be created for working with metal structures and reinforcement. This area will also provide storage spaces for large-panel formwork, cable-conductor, and pipeline products.
