On the eve of the XII Saint Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Forum’s Organizing Committee Tatiana Golikova gave an interview to the CEO of TASS To Andrey Kondrashov. The conversation focuses on international participation, business and cultural programs, as well as the practical results of the upcoming forum.
Tatyana Golikova noted the high interest in the forum: participation is expected from representatives of 70 countries, with 44 official foreign delegations formed. Around 2,500 participants are expected in the main program, while the number of registered participants in the newly organized youth program is already approaching 1,500.
Speaking about the international composition of participants, Tatyana Golikova noted that among the countries whose representatives will come to the forum, there are states that Russia considers unfriendly.
“If we talk about the ‘thaw,’ we understand that attempts to cancel Russian culture, attempts to isolate the country, have certainly failed. Speaking about our forum, after 2022 we rethought the approaches that we had even before COVID, and even changed its name, investing in it the unifying role of Russia as a conductor – spiritual, cultural, a conductor of traditional values,” emphasized Tatyana Golikova.
Special attention in the interview was given to the substantive part of the forum. In particular, the professional community will present proposals for the development of theatrical and museum affairs. According to Tatyana Golikova, the results of the discussions should have practical follow-up.
The XII St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures will take place from September 24 to 26, 2026, in St. Petersburg. The main theme of the forum is “United Cultures – Common Values.”
