The Deputy Prime Minister called the “Training through Service” program a wonderful project that continues the traditions of volunteerism, which Russia is strong in.

“In Russia, the establishment of the volunteer movement began with the support of our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin – before the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. As a result of the competition, 25 Russian universities and 1 college received the honorable right to create volunteer centers. At that time, the head of state personally congratulated and awarded the winners, handed over diplomas, and emphasized that selfless help creates the right atmosphere in society and allows people to orient themselves in values. Today, thanks to his initiative, millions of our citizens are already involved in volunteering in our country, including you. The ‘Learning through Service’ program gives you the opportunity to create new digital products, participate in the development of territories, come up with tourist routes, restore cultural heritage sites, help people, and much more,” noted Dmitry Chernyshenko.

He added that the program participants work in teams, learn mutual assistance and a responsible approach to work, and also thanked the Dobro.RF association, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Rosmolodezh, the regions, and all partners for organizing the project.

“Together with our partners, more than 35 thousand real socially significant tasks have been resolved. It’s great that the project has already reached about 1,600 schools, 200 colleges, and 600 universities across the country. And around 1 million schoolchildren and students have participated,” reported the deputy prime minister.

In conclusion, Dmitry Chernyshenko wished the participants of the new season of the program “Learning through Service” good luck, bright ideas, projects, and success in the academic year, noting how important it is for each of them to see a live, tangible result of their work and whom exactly it benefits.

This year, participants of the event will be offered a motivational dialogue with representatives of NGOs, government bodies, and businesses, as well as a festival of student initiatives – projects by MSTU students that have already evolved from ideas into real actions. In addition, first-year university students will be informed about the university’s volunteer work, the opportunities of “Dobro.RF,” and projects that can be joined already this academic year.
