On September 27, a big family celebration will take place at the Cinema Museum at VDNH “Course to the North!”, timed to coincide with the anniversary of the opening of the children’s cultural and educational center. Young visitors will be able to attend educational workshops dedicated to the Arctic, watch cartoons, and participate in games. Admission to all events and to the Cinema Museum will be free.
Educational and entertaining activities have been prepared for children of all ages. Experts from the “Atom” museum will help to explore the world of polar research. They will explain the role modern technologies play in Arctic exploration and conduct workshops. Visitors aged six to nine will be awaited at the session “Connecting the Earth’s Poles”, and guests from three to five years old will be able to join “Travel on an icebreaker”.
Children over six years old will be able to attend several master classes. Animator Alena Voytik will conduct a session “We are making a cartoon about the Arctic”. Theater and film actress, director Ekaterina Lisovaya will introduce the basics of the acting profession in a master class “The Great Arctic Adventure”. Meeting participants “Arctic Souvenir” they will make a polar expedition badge that they can take with them.
In addition, students from the Moscow Pedagogical College will help young guests apply face painting and assemble origami, as well as conduct active games.
Everyone interested will watch cartoons about friendship, mutual support, and the beauty of the harsh northern nature. Visitors will become acquainted with the stages of development of domestic animation and will see how it has changed over time screen image of the Arctic.
The exhibition continues its work “Cinema born of ice and courage”, dedicated to the centuries-old history of Arctic exploration.
