Food products have become cheaper in two-thirds of the regions. New harvest vegetables and fruits have appeared on the market, and prices have noticeably dropped. This happens every year in August. This year, the decrease was somewhat less than usual. Cheese and dairy products continued to get cheaper.
Non-food products became more expensive in most regions, but in 2/3 of them less than in July. The growth of prices for motor fuel has slowed down significantly. Due to the weakening of the ruble in the summer months, communication devices, electronics, and computers have become more expensive.
Services have become cheaper in most regions. Prices for domestic tourism services and passenger transportation continued to decline. The growth of prices for household and medical services slowed down, although it remained high.
