First-year students and international students are invited to get acquainted with the history, culture, and contemporary life of the capital through adaptive walking tours. These were prepared as part of the “Friendship” project direction. “Youth of Moscow”.
A total of 12 excursions are planned across seven routes. They will help participants better navigate the metropolis, get to know Moscow from different perspectives, and feel part of the urban community. Registration will open a few days before the excursions on the portal “Youth of Moscow”.
“Moscow is a city where history, culture, modern spaces, and opportunities for development are close to one another. It is important for us that students not only get acquainted with the capital’s landmarks but also feel like part of the urban community. Orientation tours will help the young people better navigate the city, make new acquaintances, and see the opportunities the capital offers,” said Margarita Savinkina, head of the “Youth of Moscow” project.
Participants of the walks will hear stories about the city, complete quests, and visit museums and exhibition halls. The interactive format will help them learn more about Moscow, get to know each other, form teams, and engage in the city’s life.
About culture, history, and innovations
At the meeting “Cultural Moscow” you will be able to get acquainted with architectural monuments, theaters, and cultural heritage sites of the capital. The route includes a visit to the State Tretyakov Gallery. The tours are scheduled for 23 September and October 8.
A walk will help you learn about modern urban spaces for work and recreation “Moscow Youth”. The guys will be told about coworking spaces, lofts, open studios, and other spaces for developing creative and professional skills. In addition, they will be able to visit the “Multimedia Art Museum.” The tours will take place September 29 and October 13.
Route “Innovative Moscow” will introduce participants to the city’s modern districts, technological spaces, and innovation clusters. One of the main points will be national center “Russia”. Meetings are scheduled for 1 and October 20.
You can learn about the city’s past on one of the tours “Historical Moscow”. Route “In the Footsteps of Heroes” will go through significant military-patriotic sites of the metropolis, the excursion participants will see monuments to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and visit the Victory Museum. You can join the route October 6. The second themed walk will introduce the historical center of Moscow. The children will see iconic architectural monuments and heritage sites, as well as visit the Museum of Moscow. The meeting is scheduled for October 27.
Excursion “Moscow is multinational” prepared by a Moscow resident Tourism Committee. Visitors will be introduced to architectural sites and historic buildings connected with the activities of various peoples of Russia. The meetings will take place on October 15 and 29.
Another route — “The Square of Three Stations is a place of unity for the people” will introduce participants to metro stations, train station buildings, and themed cultural and art objects. The excursions will take place on October 22 and November 5.
For friendship and self-realization
The “Friendship” direction of the “Youth of Moscow” project unites Russian and foreign participants and helps them immerse themselves in a multicultural environment. It includes the Moscow International Friendship Club, language and conversation clubs, career guidance and adaptation excursions, themed meetings, workshops, and quizzes.
