First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov held a meeting on the development of the agricultural engineering industry. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance, key agricultural machinery manufacturers, and industry associations.
Participants discussed the current situation in the industry, the implementation of the largest investment projects, as well as proposals to stimulate investment activity. Denis Manturov emphasized the need for continued active work on the development and mastering of new types of equipment, for which Russian analogues had not previously been presented on the market.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov noted that despite market contraction, implementation of a set of state support measures for the industry continues. Thus, this year, 10 billion rubles have been allocated to the subsidy program for agricultural machinery manufacturers, under which farmers can receive discounts on agricultural equipment, 4.5 billion of which are designated to support self-propelled machinery. In the first eight months, 6 billion rubles have already been provided, enabling the sale of 5.7 thousand units of agricultural machinery.
The implementation of the preferential leasing program continues. Since its launch, about 1,500 units of agricultural machinery and equipment have been supplied on preferential terms for a total amount of 12.3 billion rubles.
At the same time, it is planned that all industry-specific demand stimulation measures will continue next year. Special attention will be paid to tools aimed at supporting the development of new types of agricultural machinery and equipment, as well as the modernization of existing models. In particular, it is planned to increase the volume of subsidizing R&D and launch a program for “growing” components.
