Beijing, September 16 /Xinhua/ — Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun said on Wednesday that China’s armed forces are ready to work with all parties to protect international and regional stability, create a favorable security environment, and provide guarantees for peaceful development.
Dun Jun made the corresponding statements during meetings with the heads of defense departments of Thailand, Mongolia, Cambodia, and Singapore, who arrived in Beijing to participate in the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, held from September 15 to 17.
As noted by Dong Jun, global governance has currently reached a critical point where lack of progress means regression, and the pursuit of peace and development, promotion of cooperation, and advocacy for justice are common desires of all parties.
According to the Minister of Defense of the PRC, the doors for dialogue have opened within the framework of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum, participants listen to different opinions, all countries treat each other as equals, jointly discuss important issues, seek common ground while preserving differences, build consensus, and strive for peace and cooperation by combining ideas and putting forward proposals to solve problems.
