Vice Premier Tatyana Golikova held a meeting of the organizational committee of the XII St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum. At the meeting, key issues regarding the preparation for the 2026 event were discussed.
From September 24 to 26, 2026, the Northern Capital will once again welcome participants and guests of the forum. Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova noted: “The St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures has established itself as an authoritative platform where representatives of various countries and peoples can openly discuss the present and future of culture. This year, the theme of the forum will be ‘United Cultures – Common Values.'”I am confident that joint work will not only allow exchanging experiences and analyzing key trends in the development of the modern cultural environment, but also to develop concrete solutions. The result will be new international projects that will contribute to strengthening cultural ties and prove that Russian culture cannot be canceled — it remains an integral part of the global cultural space.
In 2026, the forum operator will be the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, and the administration of Saint Petersburg. This will allow applying the best practices in preparing large international events, strengthening work with participants, partners, and foreign delegations, as well as improving the quality of international promotion and thorough development of the program.
“The forum will become a platform corresponding to the high status of Russia as a unique state-civilization, a vast Eurasian and Euro-Pacific power, uniting the Russian people and other peoples, constituting the cultural-civilizational community of the Russian world, which has developed over many centuries the ability to ensure harmonious coexistence of various peoples, ethnic, religious, and linguistic groups on a common territory. The theme of the forum in 2026 – ‘United Cultures – Common Values’ – reflects our mission: through cultural diversity – to unity based on traditional moral values.” âemphasized the advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, the responsible secretary of the organizational committee Anton Kobyakov.
He noted that the President of Russia has repeatedly pointed out the necessity of prioritizing attention to the issues of cultural development, and the general task of the organizers–to hold a forum at the highest organizational and substantive level.
The Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova supported the proposals on organizing the forum and noted: “An important part of the program is traditionally events that provide foreign partners the opportunity to demonstrate to a wide audience the uniqueness of their national cultures. Moreover, based on the successful experience of previous years, we plan to expand traditional thematic directions of the sections under the leadership of industry leaders.”
Special attention at the meeting was paid to the information campaign. It is planned to hold presentation and discussion events in the PMEF, WEF, and other key events of the Roscongress Foundation.
Through the joint efforts of the organizers, the 2026 forum should become a bright, meaningful, and large-scale event, fully corresponding to Russia’s status as a state-civilization and its role in the global cultural dialogue.
