The capital’s smart card manufacturer increased its production capacity by 20 percent as part of an investment project. The company purchased modern high-tech equipment and expanded its product range. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.
ISBC has been operating in the market for over 15 years and produces smart cards for various sectors, including transportation, education, digital healthcare, and industrial automation. Among its key products are social, transportation, and school cards, which are supplied not only to Moscow but also to other regions of Russia.
“By the order of Sergey Sobyanin, the city provides a wide range of opportunities and mechanisms for the development of advanced manufacturing. Thanks to new modern equipment, the capital’s manufacturer of contactless cards has increased its capacity by 20 percent. Earlier, with the assistance of the Moscow Fund for the Support of Industry and Entrepreneurship, the enterprise launched the serial production of innovative smart paper. It is used for the production of disposable contactless tickets for all types of transport, ski lift passes, and key cards,” said Maksim Liksutov.
The company is developing a new promising direction — intelligent storage systems called “Smart Cabinets.” The solution is based on radio-frequency identification technology, a domestic software suite, and a computing platform on Russian processors. The device ensures automatic registration of operations with each storage unit and allows real-time control of issuance, return, and movement of material assets. Currently, the solution is being tested as part of pilot projects in hospitals, logistics centers of major retailers, and industrial enterprises.
Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin noted high demand to the products of capital city manufacturers in the Russian regions. In particular, the company “Smart Systems” (part of ISBC Group) delivered smart cards and RFID key fobs to more than 50 regions of Russia in 2025 and the first half of 2026, including for the implementation of social, school, and transport projects.
Moscow is the largest industrial and scientific-engineering center of Russia. About 150 technological enterprises appear in the city annually. Currently, there are 4,735 industrial companies operating in the capital, employing 767 thousand people. To support manufacturers, more than 20 measures are provided in Moscow. These include an investment credit program, tax incentives, and other tools.
Moscow is actively developing its investment climate and industrial potential. Thanks to city initiatives, labor productivity and production efficiency are increasing.
