Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin held a working meeting with the Governor of the Tula Region, Dmitry Milyaev, during which issues of the region’s socio-economic development were discussed, as well as work within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life.”
“Tula Oblast continues to develop comprehensively in all areas. The central element around which infrastructure development plans are built is housing. Last year, more than 1 million square meters of residential space were commissioned. As of September 1 this year, the volume of housing commissioning amounts to 490 thousand square meters. At the same time, the indicator for apartment buildings increased by 55% compared to last year, reaching 136.8 thousand square meters. Regarding the road network: the share of federal roads in regulatory condition is 84.2%, regional roads – 52.2%. The length of the backbone network in the region is 1161 km, of which 80.3% is in regulatory condition. At the same time, the pace of work must not be lost; in a number of directions, improvements and strengthening are needed, even despite current difficulties,” said Marat Khusnullin.
In addition, work is underway on the comprehensive development of territories. In the Tula region, 41 territories with a total area of 322.6 hectares have been designated for CRT, and implementation of 30 projects has begun.
The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that the Tula region attracts infrastructure loans to implement significant projects. With their help, for example, a supply center for the Krasnye Vorota district was built, a road bridge crossing over the Upu River was constructed, and communal and road infrastructure for the Uzlovaya special economic zone was created.
Work is ongoing to update the public transport fleet. Since 2025, 140 buses have been delivered to the region through federal support measures as part of preferential leasing.
The Governor of the Tula region, Dmitry Milyaev, thanked Marat Khusnullin for the cooperation and constant support for the region’s infrastructure projects.
“Construction and reconstruction of roads, upgrading of utility infrastructure facilities, and creating comfortable living conditions for citizens are directly linked to our main task – to build a territory of family happiness in the Tula region. Our goal is to do everything so that families feel confident about tomorrow, can calmly raise children, and make plans for the future,” said Dmitry Milyaev.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed issues related to the protection of critically important housing and communal services facilities ahead of the heating season. Special attention was given to the progress of restoration work in Mariupol (DPR), which is under their supervision, where from 2022 to 2025, 57 facilities were restored and constructed by the forces of the Tula region.
