More than 23.7 thousand online applications for apartment renovation approvals have been submitted by Muscovites since the beginning of the year. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Pyotr Biryukov.

“Currently, the service for registering a renovation in an apartment can only be obtained electronically. An application must be submitted and documents sent through the mos.ru portal, where information about registration, service timelines, and the decision made will be available. Citizens actively use this opportunity; from January to August of this year, more than 23.7 thousand applications have already been received,” noted Petr Biryukov.

Muscovites have begun to apply more frequently for the approval of planned works — more than 10,300 such applications were received. Over 6,200 applications concerned the issuance of an act for works carried out under an obtained permit, 5,700 — the correction of violations committed and legalization of previously made redevelopment. The simplified procedure for consenting to redevelopment was used about 1,300 times.

Every year, the number of applications for approval of minor changes without developing a project is increasing. This may include dismantling or installation of built-in wardrobes, installation or relocation of non-load-bearing partitions, relocation of door openings, and other work. In such cases, it is not necessary to prepare a redevelopment project or a technical conclusion; it is sufficient to independently prepare a sketch of the changes made and submit the corresponding application.

Chapter urban economy complex emphasized that for the convenience of Muscovites, the service provision process is constantly being improved. For example, in April of last year, the approval time for planned and previously completed works was reduced from 30 to 20 business days.

Thanks to the interaction between Moszhilinspektsiya and Rosreestr, all changes are immediately entered into the Unified State Register of Real Estate. In addition, the list of works for which approval is carried out without project preparation has been expanded.

Residents of the capital can coordinate renovations in their house or apartment more easily and conveniently with “Navigator for remodeling and replanning premises in an apartment building” on the mos.ru portal, they noted in the capital Department of Information Technology. In the service, Muscovites will find all the necessary information about remodeling, learn which types of work require approval from the Moscow Housing Inspectorate and which can be carried out without contacting the agency. It will also be useful for those Muscovites who have already done remodeling. The navigator will determine exactly which service related to reconstruction and remodeling needs to be applied for. To do this, residents will be offered a short survey. The page also contains reference information that explains in a simple and clear language which reconstruction and remodeling works residents are allowed to carry out and how to organize them.
