At the International Youth Festival (IYF), Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko delivered a lecture titled “Russia – the path of creators. From great heritage to technological leadership” as part of the federal educational marathon “Knowledge.First” organized by the Russian Society “Knowledge.” The IYF is taking place from September 11 to 17 in Yekaterinburg and has brought together 10,000 people from 191 countries.

“Our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has outlined the tasks of the World Festival of Youth: to create conditions of freedom, creativity, friendship, which would allow you to communicate with each other, find new friends, partners for your future projects. This message will give meaning to our conversation, which will be dedicated to the boundless opportunities for self-realization that Russia gives to the youth of the whole world,” emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.

Dmitry Chernyshenko told the festival participants about the country’s tourism opportunities. “Creating comfortable, affordable conditions for traveling around Russia is our priority,” he noted. The electronic visa is applied for online within four days, allowing a stay in Russia for up to 30 days. Visa-free programs are in effect for travelers from China, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Myanmar.

Dmitry Chernyshenko discussed with festival participants, foreign bloggers, the Lafont sisters from Haiti, Mohamed Ismail from Syria, their opinion about Russian spiritual and moral values and their impressions of staying in Russia.

Among the traditional Russian spiritual and moral values, Dmitry Chernyshenko particularly highlighted creative labor, where the main reward for work is the common good and the country’s prosperity, as well as mutual assistance and mutual respect that connect different generations and peoples.

“Everyone who respects Russia and embraces our values can find a second home here. After all, Russia is an alliance of nearly two hundred nationalities and peoples. We have an Orthodox church, a mosque, a datsan, and a synagogue side by side. The year 2026 has been declared by our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin as the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia. We are all united by traditional Russian spiritual and moral values. These are common moral guidelines passed down from generation to generation, from century to century, our spiritual foundation. These values permeate the culture and history of Russia for more than 12 centuries,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Moreover, he reminded of the contribution to world science by Russian physicists, chemists, mathematicians, biologists, and inventors – Dmitri Mendeleev, Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, Andrei Sakharov, and Evgeny Velikhov. Today, artificial intelligence helps analyze huge data sets and tackle tasks that used to take years, while infrastructure of the “megascience” class is being created for the development of science. It will be available to Russia’s foreign partners.

“Last month in Novosibirsk, our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin launched the operation of a unique complex – the Siberian ring photon source, or, in other words, ‘SKIF.’ By the end of the year, we will start 20 experimental stations at the ‘PIK’ reactor near Saint Petersburg and the ‘NIKA’ collider near Moscow,” Dmitry Chernyshenko reported.

Speaking about Russian education, he emphasized that by the directive of the head of state, by 2030 Russia should have at least 500 thousand foreign students studying, and a network of world-class university campuses is also being created. By 2036, there will be 40 of them in Russia. The first was the Bauman MSTU campus, and this year the campus in Yekaterinburg was opened.

Dmitry Chernyshenko addressed Aliya Sultanmuratova from Kyrgyzstan, who shared her experience participating in research university programs at the federal territory “Sirius.”

In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister answered guests’ questions at the festival about the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, the history of creation, and the concept of phygital sports. The unique tournament “Games of the Future” was held for the third time – this year it took place in Kazakhstan.
