Specialists urban utilities complex completed the landscaping of Shenogin Street in the northwest of the capital. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.
“Today, the Khoroshevo-Mnevniki district is actively developing, so we are carrying out planned work there to improve the comfort of the urban environment. This year, we renovated Shenogin Street, located between Shelepikhinskaya Embankment and the eponymous highway. We organized convenient routes to important facilities, adding functionality to the space,” noted Petr Biryukov.
During the improvement works, overhead power lines were moved underground into cable ducts with a total length of over three kilometers. This not only enhanced the appearance of the street but also increased the safety of communication utilities operation. Additionally, new sections of the storm drainage system were laid.
Where possible, sidewalks were widened, and almost 2,400 square meters of pavement were replaced in the square. About 6,500 square meters of asphalt were laid on the roadway, markings were applied, road signs installed, and two traffic lights replaced. Additionally, energy-efficient lighting fixtures were installed, and a modern bus stop with charging slots was set up for public transport passengers.
An essential part of all Moscow improvement projects is landscaping. On Shenogin Street, 1.4 thousand square meters of new lawn have appeared.
