The training of teams from socially oriented non-profit organizations (NPOs) of the capital has been completed at the “Moscow — Kind City” grant school. More than 500 representatives received the necessary knowledge and skills for the effective implementation of projects and participation in the eighth grant competition. This was reported by Olga Krylova, Deputy Head of the Department for Employment Promotion Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the City of Moscow.
“The Moscow Grants School — a true accelerator for the city’s nonprofit organizations. In just six weeks, kind initiatives transform into strong social projects with clear structure, budget, and implementation plan. Experts provided recommendations on working with the specialized information system and filling out the competition application, explained typical mistakes and key evaluation criteria. Specialists always stay in touch with NGOs and support the teams even after the school ends. We see that this comprehensive approach to training is in demand among nonprofit organizations. More and more teams want to learn and grow professionally with us: in 2026, more than 500 people from 186 NGOs joined the project — one and a half times more than the previous year,” said Olga Krylova.
The main goal of the grants school is to support the development of initiatives important to city residents by training representatives of the nonprofit sector. Each module of the “Seven Steps to a Successful Project” program is aimed at improving personal and professional competencies necessary for the development of NGOs and the implementation of socially oriented projects.
This year, the training was conducted in a blended format — in-person at the “My Career” center and remotely. Regular participants of the grants school were able to attend the most relevant modules, while newcomers completed a full course in 1.5 months.
At the sessions, experts explained how to properly build the architecture of a social project, distribute tasks among team members, as well as how to find new sources of funding. For the first time, a separate track was dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence to optimize workflows, analyze, and structure large amounts of information.
The module for preparing to participate in the eighth grant competition “Moscow — a kind city” has traditionally become one of the most in-demand. Applications for participation are accepted only in an online format, so specialists provided recommendations on working in the personal account and explained common mistakes when submitting a project.
The speakers of the educational project were invited experts and coordinators of the program “Moscow — a kind city.” Among them were Inga Moiseeva, General Director of the Center for Development and Support of NGOs and Public Initiatives “D. Group,” Irina Menshenina, fundraising expert, Evgenia Kopytina, media manager, as well as Alexander Chinyonov, a specialist in neural networks and digital technologies.
