China encourages more strong Chinese enterprises to invest in Spain — Premier of the State Council of the PRC

Beijing, April 14 /Xin Hua/ — China is ready to import more high-quality products from Spain and encourages a larger number of strong Chinese enterprises to invest in this country. This was stated on Tuesday by Premier of the State Council of the PRC Li Qian.

Li Qian made appropriate statements during negotiations with the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, which took place in the CNC during an official visit.

As noted by the head of the Chinese government, China aims to more effectively utilize complementary economic advantages together with Spain, deepen the potential for cooperation, stimulate the expansion of volume and improvement in the quality of bilateral trade, ensuring its balanced development.

According to the chairman of the State Council, China is ready to strengthen cooperation with Spain in such areas as new energy source automobiles and energy storage, creating more bright spots in green cooperation. He called on both sides to support universities, research institutions, and enterprises of the two countries in increasing joint research and development and in the practical implementation and sharing of results in order to jointly enhance the potential for scientific, technological, and innovative progress and to jointly use future development opportunities.

China is also ready to enhance the level of cooperation with Spain in the field of transportation, to promote the high-quality development of China-Europe freight railway communication, and to jointly create international green shipping corridors, added Li Qian.

The head of the Chinese government expressed hope that Spain will continue to play an important role in the European Union and will contribute to the healthy development of Chinese-European trade and economic relations. –0–
