On Tsvetnoy Boulevard, the second children’s bike festival of this year took place on September 13. Boys and girls from three to 14 years old participated in the races. Routes ranging from 900 meters to 6.6 kilometers were prepared for different age groups. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.
“On the instructions of Sergey Sobyanin, we regularly organize events dedicated to transport and a healthy lifestyle. Our second children’s bike ride this year gathered a record number of participants — more than 30,000 children and parents. Such celebrations unite people and help develop bicycle culture in the capital,” noted Maxim Liksutov.
In addition to the races, a rich program for the whole family was prepared on Tsvetnoy Boulevard. Artists from the Nikulin Moscow Circus performed on the main stage. The audience saw acrobatic acts and a show with trained dogs. The musical part of the program was complemented by creative groups, and the festival’s headliner was the singer Khabib.
Interactive playgrounds were set up for the young guests. The kids completed the obstacle course “Magic Forest,” competed in a family relay race, and tested their knowledge of traffic rules during a quest. In addition, they assembled puzzles and played in an inflatable complex.
At the “Veloart” site, it was possible to create themed graffiti, assemble a thermo mosaic, and join master classes. In the “Food and Cinema” zone, cartoons were shown on a big screen, and visitors were treated to popcorn and cotton candy.
The festival partners also prepared a program for the whole family. Guests answered quiz questions, took pictures in special photo zones, got face painting, and got acquainted with robot dogs.
