In the west of Moscow, the construction of a medium-pressure gas pipeline continues, which will provide stable gas supply to the thermal power station. About 50 percent of the construction and installation work has been completed in two and a half months. The plan is to connect the facility to the existing system in October 2026 and commission it in 2027. This was reported by urban utilities complex.
The project was developed by JSC “Mosgaz.” Specialists have already laid part of the gas pipeline using an open method, installed protective casings at sections intersecting with other utilities and the roadway, and also assembled a shut-off device. The work is being carried out in stages over small sections to minimize inconvenience for the residents of the area.
Durable polyethylene pipes of Russian manufacture are used in construction. All materials undergo quality control, and each joint is inspected by defectoscopists from the technical supervision laboratory of JSC “Mosgaz.” Additionally, control samples are sent to the Moscow City Center for the Study of Physico-Mechanical Properties of Structural Materials of JSC “Mosgaz.”
Specialists are consistently modernizing the gas distribution network. Every year, new engineering communications are commissioned in the city, taking into account the growing needs of the metropolis. Special attention is paid to the reliability of the system. Thanks to this, residential buildings, enterprises, and other facilities receive gas uninterruptedly and safely.
